Fifth workshop „Optimisation of process parameters in different additive technologies”

On May 15-19, 2023, the fifthin a series of international workshops entitled „ Optimisation of process parameters in different additive technologies” took place. The workshop was organized by the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. The workshop was attended by scientists from the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Warsaw Institute of Technology and the Cluster of Excellence MERGE at the University of Technology in Chemnitz.

During the workshop, Prof. Wojciech Święszkowski, Ph. D Karol Szlązak, Ph. D Piotr Maj, Paweł Pacek and Pasquale Posabella presented innovative methods of implant manufacturing using incremental techniques such as Laser Powder Bed Fusion, Stereolitography and Digital Light Processing. As part of the workshop, competences on the optimization of 3D printing processes and characterization of prints using computed microtomography were transferred.

These were the fifth workshops organized under the project: “Integrated research and teaching system for the implementation of additive technologies” financed by the Strategic Partnerships program by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
