On October 17-21, 2022, the first in a series of international workshops entitled „Analysis of Market analysis (target groups) in the field of materials used and implant manufacturing technologies, preliminary materials research”. The workshop was organized by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Precision Mechanics. The workshop was attended by scientists from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology and the Cluster of Excellence MERGE at the University of Technology in Chemnitz.

During the workshop, a market analysis was carried out in the field of material selection (polymers, metals and composites) and manufacturing technology for a biomimetic endoprosthesis. An example of a material that is taken as a demonstration in the planned activities is one of the alloys used in biomedical engineering products Ti6Al4V and Ti-6Al-7Nb as a newer version.

These were the first workshops organized under the project: “ Integrated research and teaching system for implementation of additive technologies” financed under the Strategic Partnerships program by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
